February 26, 2015 - A roundtable discussion: Prognosis Ukraine, Post-Debaltseve? was held at USUF. Leaders from several key Ukrainian NGOs and businesses attended, providing their expert appraisals on the status of the economy, energy, nuclear plants, peace prospects and military developments.

February 17, 2015 - USUF's Open World delegation from Ukraine meets with Modesto Mayor Garrard Marsh and other local officials during its nine day Legislature Role Program in California. The U.S.-Ukraine Foundation works with Modesto Sister Cities International in Open World Leadership Center programming for the Sacramento & Modesto area of California. Modesto is a Sister City of Khmelmitskiy, Ukraine.

February 14, 2015 - A scholarship ceremony in Zheldets, near Lviv. occurred with 23 students receiving Maryniuk scholarships. Along with a post-event grant, USUF and the
Maryniuk fund distributed over $5,000 to the community.

November 14, 2014 - Newly-elected Ukrainian parliamentarians (and former military commanders) meet to discuss the Ukraine-Russia conflict at USUF.

September 18, 2014 - Many U.S.-Ukraine Foundation friends and supporters wait in anticipation of President Poroshenko's speech before a Joint Session of Congress in the U.S. Capitol.

September 12, 2014 - Markian Bilynskyj, USUF's Kyiv Director and Vice President, provided analysis and commentary on the current situation in Ukraine before a group of interested individuals, invited through the Friends of Ukraine network, in the Foundation's conference room in Washington, DC. Sitting next to him is Nadia K. McConnell, USUF President.

June 19, 2014 - Serhiy Kvit, Ukraine's Minister of Education and Science, spoke on the need for educational reforms, challenges presented by the war in the eastern region of Ukraine, and the need for additional U.S. support. Think tank representatives and NGO leaders who attended the roundtable discussion inquired about critical governance issues facing Ukraine, Russia's propaganda war and the way forward for Ukraine. The meeting was sponsored by the Friends of Ukraine Network and the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation.

June 19, 2014 - Mark Temnycky, a Summer 2014 Intern at USUF, met Ukraine's Ambassador to the United States, Olexander Motsyk, at the second US-UA Working Group Yearly Summit held at the University Club of Washington DC. June 12, 2014 - Myroslav Marynovych, Vice-rector for the University Mission at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv, spoke on "New Challenges for Ukraine and Moral Values." Mr. Marynovych is a Ukrainian human rights activist and distinguished civil-society leader. He has been awarded the Ukrainian Order of Liberty, an honor granted by the Ukrainian Parliament to recognize the extraordinary efforts of citizens of Ukraine to strengthen the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, develop democracy, and advocate constitutional rights. On June 11, Mr. Marynovych accepted the Truman-Reagan Medal of Freedom from the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation.

May 19, 2014 - Jed Barton,
U.S. Agency for International Development's Kyiv Mission Director, spoke
on USAID's current program objectives and the opportunities for technical
assistance projects in Ukraine. The presentation was sponsored by The
Washington Group (TWG) and the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation.

May 15, 2014 - USUF and Friends of Ukraine Network (FOUN) sponsor a roundtable discussion on the prospect of additional sanctions against Russia. April 28, 2014 - Friends of Ukraine Network (FOUN) meet to discuss various crisis planning strategies and the newly-announced U.S. sanctions against Russia, many of which had been suggested previously by FOUN, USUF and others. October 15, 2013 - U.S.-Ukraine Foundation representatives in Kyiv, Markian Bilynskyj and Yuliya Solovey, attended the International Conference on Anti-Semitism on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the infamous "blood libel" trial of Menahem Mendel Beilis, organized by the Ukrainian Jewish Committee with the support of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Ukrainian Chairmanship and in partnership with the American Jewish Committee, National Conference Supporting Jews in Russia, Ukraine, the Baltic States & Eurasia. They met with, among others, Lesley Weiss, Director of Community Services and Cultural Affairs for NCSJ, and Jay Beilis, the grandson of Menahem Mendel Beilis, who was visiting Ukraine for the first time. The conference examined current trends in anti-Semitism and new methods for combating it.
