
Community Partnerships Project for Local Government Training and Education (CPP)
This local government reform project is based on the concept of partnership. The project partners U.S. and Ukrainian communities, promotes
exchange of experience, and provides training to Ukrainian cities. Funded by USAID, this project has trained and educated individuals from more
than 1,700 communities throughout Ukraine through its network of Regional Training Centers in Lviv, Cherkasy, Kherson and Donetsk.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs Project
The U.S.-Ukraine Foundation will be working through mid-2007 on a new
program for management modernization, and specifically in personnel systems,
within Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
U.S.-Ukraine Policy Dialogue
Funded by the U.S. Department of State, Policy Dialogue provides a forum
to advance constructive dialogue among U.S. and Ukrainian policy makers,
public policy experts, and organizations about issues impacting U.S.-Ukraine
relations. Policy Dialogue will host four, week-long working sessions,
two in Washington, DC, and two in Kyiv among high level experts and policy
makers over a two-year period.
Election Project
In partnership with the U.S. Association of Former Congressmen (USAFMC)
and with funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID),
the Foundation operated in Ukraine during, and in the months leading up
to, the presidential elections that took place in three rounds between
October and December of 2004, as well as the parliamentary and local
elections in March 2006.
Legal Sector Project
The Foundation assists the development of Ukraine's legal sector by
holding seminars at Ukrainian law schools, offers travel grants for
Ukrainians to attend international legal conferences, organizes a law book
donation program and facilitates communications between American and
Ukrainian legal professionals.
